For stores and older readers that still ask for EPUB 2.
EPUBCheck: 0 errorsriver-delta_epub2.epubFrom print PDF to validated EPUB.
Each page is read, tagged and checked on the PDF itself. Your team makes the calls; the studio builds EPUB 2, EPUB 3, Fixed Layout and Accessible EPUB and validates every one.
Books, scans and AI models stay on this server.
How a page goes through the studio
Six moments from one book page: reading, checking, structure, reflow, validation and the team's review. Click a scene to jump to it.
One master file, four EPUBs
Every output is built from the same reviewed master, so a fix made once is in all four.
- EPUBCheck runs on every build; an error takes you to its page.
- Ace by DAISY checks the Accessible EPUB.
- Files are named the way each client wants them.
Text that fits any screen, with MathML, notes and links that keep working.
EPUBCheck: 0 errorsriver-delta_epub3.epubThe print page exactly, for picture books and complex layouts.
EPUBCheck: 0 errorsriver-delta_fxl.epubAlt text, reading order, language and page list, checked with Ace.
EPUBCheck: 0 errorsAce: no serious issuesriver-delta_a11y.epubWhat the studio does on every book
Each feature is shown the way it looks while you work.
Find anything, change it everywhere
Regular expressions and filter scripts select words across the whole book, listed page by page. One key then applies a command to all of them.
Proofread against the PDF
Before export the EPUB text is compared with the PDF word by word, so nothing is lost or doubled.
Multilingual books
Several spelling dictionaries at once, and the language of foreign words marked for screen readers.
Note numbers checked in order
Every superscript number of the book in a row; a gap or a repeat stays red until it is fixed.
Keyboard first
One key per command, on the page you are reading. Shift does the opposite, Ctrl does it for many items, Ctrl+Alt for everything you found.
Equations become MathML
LaTeX with a live preview next to the PDF; MathML in EPUB 3 and an image in EPUB 2.
Notes, contents and index, linked
Note markers link to their notes and back, contents lines to their headings, and index page numbers to the pages they name.
Tables rebuilt as tables
Rows and columns are found on the page; the table editor's lines fix any cell by hand.
Alt text with local AI
A vision model on your own server proposes a description for each image; a person keeps it, edits it or marks the image decorative.
Each client's rules
File names, allowed CSS classes and required markup are set per client and checked in every build.
On your own server
Runs on an Ubuntu server for the whole office or on one Windows or Mac PC, in any modern browser on your network. Books, scans and AI models never leave it.
Roles, review and approval
Admins assign books to operators and freelancers; QC reviews each stage and approves it or sends it back with a note on the page.
Learns from corrections
The headings, roles and tags your team corrects are remembered, so the next book needs fewer fixes.
Time and reports
Time is recorded for every stage, person and book, with reports for the team and for each operator.
Read every advantage in one list
Text you can trust
- Scanned PDFs are read by PP-StructureV3 and again by PaddleOCR-VL 1.6; disagreements are flagged for a person.
- Digital PDFs keep their real text; broken font encodings are found and fixed once for the whole book.
- Bold, italic, superscript and subscript come from the scan and the PDF fonts, not from guesses.
- Spell check with several dictionaries for multilingual books, and the word balloon shows the exact text of a word.
- Note numbers checked in sequence; page labels (roman and arabic) verified against the print.
Structure on the page you see
- 17 stages, each automated first and then reviewed with single keys on the PDF page.
- Running heads and page numbers removed, zones and reading order set, columns and rules found.
- Headings, lists, tables, notes, TOC, index and cross-references linked, with every tag visible on the page.
- Tag palette (z) with every HTML tag and its attributes; CSS editor with property and value suggestions.
- Tables rebuilt with a table editor; equations as LaTeX with a live MathML preview; images, video, audio and SVG inserted where needed.
- Navigation tree built from the contents, with control over where each HTML file starts.
Outputs that pass
- EPUB 2, EPUB 3 Reflow, EPUB 3 Fixed Layout and EPUB 3 Accessible from one master file.
- EPUBCheck on every build; Ace by DAISY on the Accessible output; equations as MathML.
- Client profiles: file names, CSS rules and checks each client asks for.
- Text of the PDF and the EPUB compared word by word before delivery.
- Alt text proposed by a local AI model; decorative images and the language of foreign words marked for screen readers.
A team, not a tool
- Roles for admins, QC reviewers, operators and freelancers; books assigned and approved stage by stage.
- Comments and flags stay with the page; undo and redo for every command.
- Time tracked per stage and book; reports for the team and each person.
- Corrections are remembered, so the automation gets better with each book.
Fast to work in
- Keyboard first: one key per command, Ctrl for many items, Ctrl+Alt for a whole filter result.
- Find with regular expressions and filter scripts, with a result list of every match.
- PDF and HTML preview side by side; 2, 8 and 24 page views.
- Local AI (Ollama) for alt text and second opinions, when you want it.
Yours to run
- Runs on an Ubuntu server for the whole office, or on one Windows or Mac PC.
- Nothing is sent to an outside service: books, scans and models stay on your machines.
- Works in any modern browser on the office network.
